Kitsovskaya Desert in Kharkov

Hilly sand called desert.

Not far from Kitsovka in the Pechenizhsky district there are so-called hummocky sands or Kitsovskaya desert.
At first we wandered through the pine forest to finally reach the desert that struck us with its unusual (for Kharkov places) view and quiet modest beauty, as well as the silent calm that is in the air of this wonderful place.
Earlier, there were exercises of tank troops. Walking through the picturesque expanses and sand dunes of hilly sand, you can still find tank shells that have remained since that time.
The Kitsovka desert is a unique natural area for the Kharkov region, not only from a landscape point of view, but also from a naturalistic one.

How to get there:
from metro "Proletarskaya" by bus of the Pechenezhskiy direction to the Kitsovka.
Distance from Kharkov: about 35 km.
